Fantastic Four Cleaners

Here’s the most natural, most known and effective cleaners – they are called the Fantastic Four Cleaners and they are each other’s best ally : Salt, White Vinegar, Baking Soda and Lemon.

Some green cleaning recipes you can do with these:

Drain Cleaner : Baking Soda + Vinegar + Boiling water

Do you have a clogged drain? This simple trick will do the magic for you! Just pour 1 cup of baking soda to the clogged drain, followed by white vinegar. Let it sit for a couple of minutes then rinse with boiling water.

Oven Cleaner : Baking soda + Water

Microwave is one of the most overlooked areas in the kitchen. This first green cleaning recipe requires more scrubbing and effort but it will surely leave your oven spotless clean. Make a paste by combining baking soda and water and apply it to oven surfaces and let stand still for a while. Scrub most surfaces using a scouring pad and use a spatula or a bread knife to get under large food deposits.

Oven Cleaner : Vinegar

This is one’s easy breezy. Just put vinegar to a microwaveable bowl and put it on high. The steam of the vinegar will soften the residues on your microwave. This cleaning will only require soft swiping of the surface.

Cutting Board Cleaner : Lemon + Salt

Cutting boards can be prone to bacteria, so we need to regularly clean it. This green cleaning recipe is easy and it has anti-bacterial components, too. Just cut a lemon in half and sprinkle salt on it. Rub the lemon + salt on the cutting board and wash as usual.

Window Cleaner : Vinegar + Lemon Juice + Water

Just mix and combine these ingredients in a spraying bottle, spray on windows and mirrors and wipe clean.

Remove mineral deposits from the shower head : Vinegar

Make your shower a brand new look by putting vinegar in a plastic bag. Tie it around the shower head and leave overnight. Rinse with water and voila! your shower is as good as new!

These are just some recipes you can do at home – with the ingredients that are already available. Do you have other recipes that you find very useful in your everyday life? Sharing is caring.
